Description: This stained glass window was designed personally by Louis Sullivan for the Chicago Auditorium Theater in collaboration with the Healy and Millet Studios. It was part of an extraordinarily grand skylight that spanned the width of the auditorium ceiling, making it a key feature of the Auditorium's resplendent interior. The Skylight's design featured twelve intricate, matching central stained glass windows, each displaying an intertwining knotted pattern. AE576 is one of the original twelve central windows which made up the grand theater skylight.

The Chicago Auditorium Building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Only five of the original twelve panels still exist. The rest were lost to history.
