Description: A simply Killer Victorian Window. The amazing design is just the beginning. The glass in the field is exciting: Color-phased Muff (or Venetian) Glass—done with a diagonal shading pattern—starting with deep gold on the lower left corner shifting gradually to salmony-copper in the upper right corner! Designing And Executing this took tremendous effort and a rare assortment of mouth-blown glass.

It has 146 jewels, 68 of which are "marbleized" to tie the composition together from top to bottom. Note that the striated 'pigeon-blood and clear' border top and bottom ties in with the jewel marbleization. Perhaps a more significant tie-in exists in the marbleized pressed-glass leaves.

This composition displays the best, most diverse selection of precious Muff Glass I have seen in a single one window. Also, unique in my experience are certain features and glass types, such as the highly sculptured, pressed leaves, various jewel shapes and glass compositions, such as the row of exceptional marbleized & faceted jewels immediately below the urn.

This one was an exacting restoration. My restorationist, Steve Langston, and I are truly proud of the results. For all the replacement pieces we used period glass. Mouth-blown glass was replaced with other antique mouth-blown from my prized stash. Re-grouted, re-framed and ready for another century. Yes, I love this window.
